Michaela Walsh had a busy morning at the European U20 Athletics Championships in Italy.
First up, at the 8:10am this morning, the 18-year-old from Mayo featured in the shot put qualifying round.
An effort of 15.39m, qualifying her in seventh, would be good enough for a spot in tomorrow evening's final.
So it's a quick turnaround for Michaela Walsh. She qualified for the shot put final with 15.39m + now moves across to the hammer circle!

Shortly after qualifying for her first final of the Championships, Walsh attempted to make another.
There was little rest and just a few practice attempts in the hammer before she launched a 62.33m effort.
It was her first attempt and good enough to qualify in first for the final which also takes place on Saturday.
