American Tori Bowie was crowned 100m world champion in London on Sunday night after a thrilling race.
Ivorian Marie-Josee Ta Lou looked to have established an unassailable lead. However, Bowie hunted down the 28-year-old Ta Lou, pipping her on the line with a decisive dip. Had Ta Lou chosen to dip pile Bowie, it would likely have been her who claimed the gold.
Remarkably, Olympic champion Elaine Thompson - the fastest women in the world this year - finished just fifth.
