The World's Oldest Marathon Runner, 101 Year-Old Fauja Singh, Is Retiring This Weekend.

Fauja Singh, dubbed the world's oldest marathon runner and nicknamed the 'Turbaned Tornado', will retire this weekend after one last race. He takes part in the Hong Kong marathon this Sunday. According to the Hindustan Times, he has run 8 marathons since taking up running at the age of 89.

Singh says that he will continue running daily as he attributes his good health to daily exercise.

But I will keep running for at least four hours daily after that. Running is my life. I will keep running to inspire the masses. The reason for my good health is that I exercise daily and follow a proper diet regime, I take happiness in biggest proportions though my actual diet is very small. Daily exercise will keep you away from all diseases.
