Limerick native Sarah Lavin set a new Irish women's 100m record when she ran 11.27 in Switzerland on Monday evening.
The 29-year-old broke the previous record, which was set by Phil Healy five years ago, by 0.01 of a second as she finished second in the 100m B race behind winner Zaynab Dosso of Italy who clocked 11.15.
Last month, Lavin broke Derval O'Rourke's 100m hurdles record when she ran 12.62 in the semi-finals at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest.
People react to Sarah Lavin becoming Ireland's fasted woman across 100m
"No better and more deserving person to take this record on the back of her national 100mH record and the most incredible season both indoor and outdoor!!" former record holder Healy wrote on social media.

Healy's coach Shane McCormack posted: "Records are there to be broken and fair play to [Sarah Lavin] on taking the women’s 100m NR this evening" and he added that "No one happier to see Sarah take this record than Phil, two great team mates over the years".
Lavin also lined up in the 100m hurdles at the Gala dei Castelli meeting in Bellinzona on Monday evening where she finished fifth, running 12.70, a time just shy of her national record.
