With potentially more medals to come, Rhasidat Adeleke has secured Ireland's second gold medal of the European Athletics U18 Championships in Hungary this evening.
Running the 200 m final, the 15-year-old Adeleke broke out at an incredible speed and never held up; running in 23:52.
A member of the Tallaght Athletics Club, Adeleke had previously claimed silver for Ireland in the same event at the European Youth Olympics in Gyor. Remarkably, she was only 14-years-old at the time.

Adeleke's win comes a day after Sarah Healy claimed 3000 m gold for Ireland. In unfavourable weather conditions, Healy displayed an astonishing performance that broke the championship record in the process.
Never looking to have been remotely out of her comfort zone, Healy runs in the 1500 m final tomorrow evening. As for tonight, Sophie O'Sullivan runs in the 800 m final shortly after 8:15 pm Irish time.
