Pregnant women aren't usually renowned for their speed, but that didn't stop the 34 weeks pregnant, Alysia Montano competing in the US Track and Field championships yesterday.

The 28 year old has won the National championships at 800m for the past four years, and wouldn't allow a little thing like pregnancy get in the way of her attempt to defend her title this time around.
The 28 year old finished last in her heat but she avoided being lapped (one of her most modest ambitions) with some ease. She received a standing ovation from the crowd.
