Last week we introduced a new feature on Balls called the 'Terry Phelan Hall of Fame'. This is where we honour some of the forgotten heroes of Irish sport and beyond. You're more likely to see Kevin Maggs and Robert Molenaar in this hall of fame than someone with 5 Premier League winnner's medals or 3 Olympics gold medals.

Tony Yeboah was inducted into the hall last week. Him and Terry are currently enjoying Jaffa Cakes and milky tea as they await the next inductee.

This week's nomination for your consideration is Irish Olympian, Terry McHugh.

Vote in the poll below to have Terry inducted or not.

So why should he be inducted?

Terry competed at the javelin in four Summer Olympic games for Ireland between 1988 and 2000.

Impressively he was a two sport Olympian, also taking part in the Bobsleigh at the 1992 and 1998 games. Undoubtedly there were some hilarious 'Cool Runnings' style antics in Albertville and Nagano with Terry involved.

There's a possibility that he put Bertie in a headlock after this picture was taken.

He won 21 Irish javelin titles, his first in 1984.

He drove an Alfa Romeo 147 back in 2000, as evidenced in the video below.
