"There's no way, unless they drop the baton," declared the ESPN commentator as Purdue headed down the final straight of the women's 4x400m at the NCAA Track and Field Championships.
Purdue did not drop the baton but despite holding a massive lead, they were still caught in the closing moments of the relay.
That was mainly due to a miracle final leg from USC's Kendall Ellis and Purdue's Jahneya Mitchell tying up as she neared the finish line.
Going into the final leg, Ellis already had a considerable gap to bridge - she could have done without the bungled baton change which took USC from third to fifth.
Ellis ran a sensational 50.05 final leg, just over two seconds quicker than Mitchell as she produced USC's own 'Depths of Hell' moment.
