A 325-page report released today by the World Anti-Doping Agency alleged that doping was rife amongst Russian athletes and recommended that the country should be banned from athletics.
On Channel 4 News, the IAAF president Seb Coe was interviewed by Jon Snow.
Snow - as he has done before in interviews with other individuals - intensively grilled Coe. The former athlete was vice president of the IAAF for seven years prior to being elected president back in August. Snow was unwilling to accept that as vice president, Coe could not have done anything to prevent the current situation.
In Snow's most arresting question, he suggested that Coe was asleep on the job.
Either you were asleep on the job, or people can say: 'There are only two choices here, asleep on the job or corrupt.' Which is it?
