It has been an incredibly fruitful week for the Irish Paralympic Team at the World Para Athletics European Championships in Berlin.
Signaling a huge improvement on recent championships in Grosseto and Swansea, the team returned home to Dublin Airport today with 9 medals from 7 different athletes.
Niamh McCarthy, Jason Smyth (2), Noelle Lenihan, Orla Barry and Greta Streimikyte accounted for 6 of those medals; all of them gold. In Jordan Lee and Orla Comerford (2), the Irish Paralympic Team brought home a further three bronze medals.
