Inifinte Tucker - an athlete noteworthy for his superb name alone - won the 400m hurdles at the SEC Championships in North Carolina on Saturday.
The 20-year-old did so in an unorthodox fashion, diving Superman style over the finish line with it just strides away.
Tucker and teammate Robert Grant had jumped the final hurdle neck and neck. The eventual winner edged ahead as the end neared but then appeared to lose his balance.
"Look," Tucker told ESPN, "I closed my eyes over hurdle 10.
I opened it, saw my ma at the finish, and I jumped to give her a hug. That's all it is.
The Texas A&M student ran a personal best of 49.38, beating Grant by 0.09.
"If I say what I thought on this camera, microphone right now, Coach [Pat] Henry would kick me off the team," said Grant regarding Tucker's dive.
