Phil Healy and Michelle Finn have both been added to the Irish team for the World Athletics Championships in Doha.
Though they did not hit the required times, both have qualified under the quota system for the championships. They received invitations on Tuesday.
Healy will run in the 200m and Finn in the 3000m steeplechase.
24-year-old Healy is the fastest Irish woman ever over 100m and 200m while 29-year-old Finn is the fourth fastest ever Irish woman in her event.
Their inclusion takes the Irish team to seven members. Brendan Boyce will take part in the 50km walk, Alex Wright in the 20km walk, Stephen Scullion in the marathon, Thomas Barr in the 400m hurdles and Ciara Mageean in the 1500m.
Further Irish athletes are expected to receive invitations in the coming week.
The Championships take place between September 27th and October 6th.
