Greta Streimikyte won gold for Ireland in the T13 1500m at the European Para Athletics Championships on Tuesday evening.
The 25-year-old was the defending champion, having won gold at the 2018 championships in Berlin.
Despite heavy rain in Bydgoszcz, Poland, Streimikyte ran a European record in victory. She finished in 4:39.27, ahead of Spain's Izakun Oses Ayucar who was just over a second behind. Russia's Veronika Zotova finished third.

Streimikyte previously finished fourth at the Paralympic Games in Rio, fourth in the World Championships in London, and won bronze at the 2016 European Championships in Grosetto.
The T13 category is for athletes with severe visual impairment.
