There was a heroes welcome at Dublin Airport yesterday as 46 Irish athletes returned from Antwerp after competing in the Special Olympic European Games. Team Ireland's medal haul consisted of 12 gold, 21 silver and 24 bronze.
One of plenty of highlights was Ireland's 7-a-side victory over Israel on Friday. The Irish side won out 4-0 with Peter Kavanagh grabbing a hat-trick.

The footballers weren't the only winners from the Irish team though with quite a few jubilant scenes taking place over the past week.
