Have you ever started a story that you know is going absolutely nowhere - you carry on rambling in the vain hope that some sort of profundity or even relevance decides to turn up before the end of the confused stream of bollox falling from your mouth.
Eamonn Coghlan knows exactly what that feels like; he went a little bit mental on the Vincent Browne show last night. The three-time Olympian turned Fine Gael senator appeared on the Dublin-West by-election debate where he launched into a confused rant; much to Browne's ire.
A confused opening argument was compounded by frequent interruptions that should have been used as an escape route by Coghlan, who instead persevered - spouting yet more nonsense before Vincent finally called an end to the madness.
Much like my copy of Football Manager 13, he starts to glitch after 55 seconds.
