As if the chance to acchieve sporting immortality wasn't enough of an incentive for Ireland's Olympic runners and swimmers, we thought we could offer an added bonus: the opportunity to brand themselves upon the bodies of this Balls.ie writer for as long as he carries this mortal coil. Here's our exclusive offer to Ireland's runners and swimmers three days out from London 2012:
- If an Irish runner or swimmer gets a medal in the Olympics - gold, silver or bronze - I will get their name tattooed on my bicep.
- If numerous runners and swimmers win medals, I will get all of their names tattooed on my bicep.
- If any of Ireland's swimming or running relay teams win medals, I'll tattoo each of the Irish participants name's on my bicep.
- If Ireland's women's 4X400 team win a medal, I'll get the team's name and Joanna Mills's name tattooed on my bicep.
This a completely genuine offer. I've been looking for a reason to get a tattoo for a long time, and to be honest, I think a Sycerika or Ciaran O'Lionaird tat with some Olympic rigns would be pretty cool. You'll find a photo of my freckled, untattooed bicep below. The ball's in your court, lads.
