Following Detroit's loss to Green Bay at the weekend, Lions player Ndamukung Suh received a one-game suspension for standing on the ankle of Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The suspension would mean Suh, a key part of the Lions defence, missing their playoff game against Dallas this weekend.
Suh appealed the decision and was successful in have the ban lifted but was instead fined $70,000.
His excuse for standing on Rodger's ankle is pretty amusing. A source told ESPN's Adam Schefter that Suh said he was unable to tell the difference between the quarterback's leg and the ground as his feet were numb from the cold.
