A nice touch by the New York Yankees last night as they honoured victims of the Boston Marathon bombings by playing 'Sweet Caroline' - unofficial anthem of long-time rivals the Boston Red Sox - over the PA system against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
There was also a minute silence and a ribbon was shown on the scoreboard displaying the insignia of the Red Sox and Yankees and the words: "New York stands with Boston ... Pray for Boston."
The Red Sox took to Twitter to thank their rivals for the support.
Bigger than the game. Thank you! RT @yankees We stand united with the @redsox: twitter.com/Yankees/status…
