It wasn't quite at the level of the Dudley Boyz returning but it's still enough to give us a quick nostalgia pang for the old days when we'd jump off our bunk beds and crack a couple of ribs in the name of art. WWE is still insanely popular of course but the vast majority of us would struggle to name too many of the current stable of stars.
Ask us to reel off our favourites from the 90s and early 2000s and we'd have absolutely no problem. So when the Dudley Boyz returned a couple of months ago we were unsurprisingly delighted. Bubba and D-Von are back and they've now been joined by Y2J himself Chris Jericho.
Looking a bit like your mad uncle the morning after a family wedding, Jericho was back to announce his return just in time to take part in the Royal Rumble later this month.
We don't want to be cynical but we'll just leave this here without comment.
