Wicklowman and the first ever WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor has been facing a race against time to recover from shoulder surgery before this year's Wrestlemania but the signs are promising after The Demon showed up on NXT last night and got involved in some physical action with Bobby Roode and Andrade “Cien” Almas.
Balor - who's rumoured to be facing Samoa Joe at Mania - came to the rescue of fellow New Japan Pro Wrestling legend and former Celtic midfielder Shinsuke Nakamura and while saying afterwards that he still wasn't medically cleared to wrestle, he added 'I will be back sooner rather than later to take what is mine.'

It's hard to see how Balor could fit in to the WWE Universal title picture right now, with it more than likely going to put on Goldberg at FastLane, so for the time being a feud with the likes of Joe is the best we can hope for. Meanwhile on Tuesday's Smackdown, they seemed to botch the ending of their no.1 contender Battle Royal a little when AJ Styles' feet clearly touched the ground before Luke Harper but nonetheless they declared the match a tie, setting up Styles v Harper for next week's show. Presumably Harper will win and we'll get a triple threat match for the title between him, Wyatt and Randy Orton at Wrestlemania.
