US Women's National Team star Carli Lloyd is drawing interest from NFL teams, after a clip of her nailing a 55-yard field goal attempt circled the internet this week.
Lloyd was visiting the Philadelphia Eagles practice facility at the time, where she was recorded making the monster kick.
Thank you to the @Eagles for having me out! Thanks to @JustinTuck @jake_elliott22 @MayorRandyBrown for the good time and tips! 🏈 🎯 #55yd pic.twitter.com/owZ16f46Th

The clip has now come to the attentions of NFL franchises, who have contacted Lloyd about the possibility of switching codes. Speaking to Sports Illustrated, she revealed that she would consider such a move in the future.
There's been some interesting chatter about it I think anything is possible. It's been really interesting because for me, I'm just an athlete, I'm a competitor.
But for so many other people, I think they're starting to think will there ever be a female in the NFL at some point. And I think we're kind of at that crossroads as far as equality and just women empowerment so you're kind of being in the crosshairs of that.
I've definitely got some inquiries, I've definitely got some people talking. Anything is possible but right now, I'm strictly a soccer player and we'll see what the future holds.
Gil Brandt, the former Dallas Cowboys’ vice president of player personnel, tweeted earlier this week that teams should consider the footballer.
Honestly, I don't think it will be long before we see a woman break through this NFL barrier. I'd give her an honest tryout if I were, say, the Bears. https://t.co/pyIlIY6Jxv

Lloyd is a two time World Cup winner, scoring three goals during the USA's winning run in France this summer. She also has two Olympic golds and two World Player of the Year crowns to her name.
At 37-years old, she is now in the tail end of her illustrious career. If she decides to hang up here boots, it must be comforting to know she has no shortage of alternative options.
