Today has been a very strange day for WWE fans.
Looking forward to Survivor Series, which takes place in Atlanta, Georgia on Sunday night, thousands were worried when rumours of an apparent terrorist threat on the event emerged online.
Originally, 'Anonymous' were claimed to have informed their followers of a treat on Survivor Series in Atlanta, as well as further attacks in Milan, Paris, Lebanon, and Indonesia, and the FBI even acknowledged that they were aware of the rumours and were taking them into account, but 'Anonymous' then came out and explained that they had no idea where the rumours came from.
Here is what the FBI said in an official statement (via IBTimes.com):
The FBI is aware of reports of an alleged threat that includes an Atlanta, Georgia venue and event. While we take all threats seriously, we do not have specific or credible information of an attack at this time. We have, however, made the proper notifications as we continue to work closely with our law enforcement and private sector partners to keep our community safe.
And this is the response from 'Anonymous':
We did not spread any rumors about possible future ISIS attacks, and frankly, we do not know where the rumors come from.

It's all very confusing, but the FBI are taking it very seriously and while they admit that they are unaware of any plot of an attack on Survivor Series, you can be sure that security will be ramped up for the event.
One man who has made it very clear that he won't tolerate terrorists at WWE events is legendary wrestler The Iron Sheik, who issued his own statement to ISIS earlier today:
Nobody wants the 'Camel Clutch':
Hopefully the event passes without incident, but it's worrying to see the effect that rumours surrounding ISIS can have, as many people will be reconsidering their attendance at the event.
