You can't debate great American sportsmen of the late 1970s without bringing up Barry Bremen. His list of achievements makes those who followed in his wake seem underachievers.
Bremen was a player in the MLB All-Star game as well as serving as an umpire in the World Series. He also was a cheerleader for the Dallas Cowboys, a professional golfer, a referee at the Super Bowl and took to the court for the NBA All-Stars game in 1979.
