Onside kicks require an element of surprise to come off. When opponents know it's coming, a team needs to have something different up its sleeve.
That's what Steelers kicker John Boswell tried to do. In an attempt to deceive the Ravens special teams, Boswell tried to rabona the ball.
It did not go as he had planned.
