Dubliner Sheamus has finally cashed in his Money In The Bank Contract to become the WWE Champion.

The rules of the Money In The Bank state that whomever is in possession of the contract has the right to cash it in for a title fight at any given stage and the holder has no choice but to accept.

After former champion Seth Rollins was injured in Dublin, the WWE put on a tournament at their latest PPV, Survivor Series, to determine who would take the vacant belt. After a series of matches, the two men in the final were Roman Reigns and his former Shield team-mate Dean Ambrose with Reigns defeating Ambrose to claim the title.

Confetti poured into the ring and the head of the Authority, Triple H, entered to raise Reigns hand in victory, however Reigns turned on HHH and hit him with a thundering spear.

Just as Reigns was getting back up he was met with a ferocious Brogue Kick by Sheamus out of nowhere, the Cabra man then proceeded to cash in his Money In The Bank to turn it into a real title fight.

Reigns managed to kick out of Sheamus' kick and he made his way up slowly to defend himself, but he was too beat up to damage the Irishman in any way and he got hit with a second Brogue Kick, and Sheamus took the title.
