So the 2014 NFL season kicked off last night as the Seattle Seahawks hosted the Green Bay Packers.
Seattle went into the game as favourites and didn't disappoint, as they ran out 36-16 over their NFC rivals. Green Bay started the game off well with fullback John Kuhn forcing his way into the end zone to give the Packers the lead. This was short lived however, as touchdowns from Lockette and Lynch put the hosts ahead. Wilson's read option throw was a fine old TD.
From there, Seattle moved up the gears and showed the world why they're Superbowl champions. This catch by tight end Zack Miller was among the highlights
A lot was made of Richard Sherman's mouthing off last season and Aaron Rodgers showed his respect to the Seattle cornerback by not throwing the ball in his direction once in the first half.
Some notable stats include Derrick Coleman, the NFL's first offensive deaf player scoring a touchdown, Marshawn Lynch's two touchdowns and 110 yards on the ground, Russell Wilson completing 19/28 passes for 191 yards and Percy Harvin's seven receptions, much to Wilson's delight.
'Lord have mercy, we have Percy,' that's what I always say. He is a great player, plays so hard, pushes the other receivers and players and they have a great relationship.
It was game over when Aaron Rodgers gave away this safety via a fumble in his own redzone.
