It was the first weekend of the new NFL season and the Cowboys and the Giants ensured it got off to a bit of a flier. Tom Brady and the Patriots may have been unstoppable in the season opener but it was Tony Romo who stole the show on Sunday night.

It looked like the Giants would kick off the season with a win but some 'bad clock management' from Eli Manning (his words, not ours) allowed the Cowboys QB the time to drag his side to a 27-26 win.

With the game ticking away and on third and goal from the 1, Eli Manning made the decision to drop back and elect to pass rather than run the ball. With no options open, Manning threw the ball out of the back of the end zone rather than take the sack.

The clocked stopped with a little over a minute and a half left to play and although field goal pushed the Giant's lead out to six, there was plenty of time for Romo to begin a drive which eventually saw the Cowboys eleven yards out with seven seconds on the clock.

Despite a quick fumble from the snap, Romo still had time to look up and pick out Jason Witten.

The added point was tagged on and the Cowboys duly came away with the 27-26 victory to kick off the new season in dramatic fashion.
