The NFL has grown massively popular in Ireland in recent years, with the legions of fans tuning in every Sunday to watch games seemingly growing season on season.

The sport has long been the most watched code in the United States, with NFL Sundays drawing in huge television audiences each week. However, the sport has become increasingly global over the last decade or so.

The Steelers have made a big marketing push in Ireland over the last 12 months or so, gaining marketing rights in the country and agreeing to have their pre-season fixtures broadcast on Virgin Media this summer.

The Pennsylvania city has quite a few Irish links, with their owners the Rooney family also having a strong association with the country.
