Randall Margraves, whose three daughters were abused by Larry Nassar, today attempted to attack the disgraced US gymnastics doctor during the latter's sentencing at a Michigan court.
Nassar was last week sentenced to up to 170 years in prison for 10 counts of sexual assault against girls and young women, following testimony from nearly 160 of his victims.
During his sentencing hearing today, Mr. Margraves asked the judge to be given "five minutes in a locker room with that demon".
He then asked the judge for just one minute, which was met with a murmur of awkward laughter in the courtroom. When that was denied, Mr Margraves lunged toward Nassar and tried to attack him, but was intercepted and restrained before reaching Nassar. After he had been restrained, Mr Margraves asked aloud, "What if this happened to you guys?"
When he was scolded for his behaviour by the judge, Mr Margraves responded, "You haven't lived through it".
The Eaton Sheriff has said that Mr. Margraves is being held on a judge's order, and that he may face a potential assault charge, saying that while he did not touch Nassar, the threat alone could warrant a charge.
