The NFL draft is never straight forward. The player most people thought was the best prospect to get drafted, and a potential number one pick before the LA Rams traded up to get a quarterback - had a horrible fall in last night's first round.
Why? Because an incriminating video of him appeared on his own twitter account just ten minutes before the draft was about to start. Ole Miss left tackle Laremy Tunsil dropped all the way to the 13th spot - when most thought he wouldn't get beyond pick no. 6, and cost him at least $8 million in salary.
So the general belief is that Tunsil's stepdad, who just sued him yesterday, is the one that posted that video? That is some damn foul.

But that's not the weirdest part - it seems that's Tunsil's stepfather was the person responsible - hacking his account to post an old video of Tunsil taking a bong hit in a gas mask.

This video appeared on Tunsil's own verified account, before it was deleted moments later. Enough people saw it though - and it caused quite a drop for the prospect who had been considered one of the safest available.

Eventually, the Miami Dolphins decided to risk a pick on Tunsil - ending his slip down the board and picking up quite a talent. But the misery was not over for the player. While he was on stage getting presented to the crowd, another offending message was posted on his Instagram account apparently implicating him in a college football rules breach.
Because all NFL draft prospects are in college, and thus not professional players, they can't receive any income from their connections to college football teams. The post that appeared on Tunsil's Instagram hints that the tackle had his college head coach pay some of his bills during his time at Ole Miss.
Why would a stepdad do this? It might have something to do with the lawsuit taken by the stepfather against Tunsil that was dropped last August. Tunsil was accused of hitting his stepdad after he saw him hitting his mother:

Not even the writer's of Dream Team would have a storyline as bizarre as this.
