Lance Armstrong joined Off The Ball's Ger Gilroy for a no holds barred interview this evening ahead of his appearance at the One Zero Conference in Dublin on October 21st. Gilroy grilled Armstrong on a range of subjects and the former cyclist didn't hold back in his answers.
Pressed on the relationship between himself and Paul Kimmage, Armstrong referred to a now legendary exchange that took place between the pair at the Tour of California in 2009:
"Paul's an interesting case. I had one interaction with Paul at the press conference in California. I didn't handle it right. I'd love to, whether it's in an interview or over a beer or whatever, I'd sit with Paul any time and say 'Hey, I'm sorry. I was a complete dick."
Armstrong also answered a question about whether or not he would sit down with Sunday Times journalist David Walsh:
Talk about making amends, you wither make personal or financial amends. David’s matter has been settled, I can’t comment on that, he can’t comment on that.
