Few sports have as keen a sense of history in the flaming heart of the instant as the NFL, and last night in Houston, Tom Brady transcended the pantheon to stand all alone as the Greatest Of All Time.

The previous comeback record was ten points.
Brady ended the game with a record for Superbowl yards, but the miracle moment came with 2.22 left in the final quarter. The Pats' trailed 28-20, before Julian Edelman somehow contorted his body under severe pressure to gather the ball an inch off the ground to complete a remarkable catch.

Incredible. From there, Brady threw a TD pass, and the Patriots kept their nerve to convert the two-point throw to send the game into overtime: the first extra act in Superbowl history.
In overtime, James White barrelled over to win an incomprehensible victory for the Patriots.
