The Boston Celtics claimed a victory in the game one of their second round series with the Washington Wizards on Sunday evening, and once again Isaiah Thomas was at the centre of everything.
After giving a speech at his 24-year-old sister's funeral the day before, Thomas again displayed his total commitment to the Celtics cause by not only making it back in time to play, but to play at his best.
The Celtics' point-guard let the team in scoring with 33 points as Brad Stevens' men won by a 123-111 scoreline on their home court.
Thomas was also involved in a moment that has since gone viral, as he lost a tooth by catching an accidental elbow. Then, moments later, he somehow found his tooth and handed it over to the Celtics' medical staff.
A crazy moment, the commentators couldn't help but laugh as the camera crew managed to catch the complete incident.
Thomas deserves immense credit for continuing to perform despite the grief that he has had to deal with following the death of his sister in a car accident, something that would be unimaginably difficult for us mere mortals.
After going down 2-0 in the first two games of the first-round clash with the Chicago Bulls, the Celtics then won four straight to win the series and setup a meeting with the Wizards where they have made the perfect start.
