Shane Battier has become an essential part of the Miami Heat machine. During their 27 game winning streak this season, when asked if he had any superstitions as an athlete, he responded that he would always try to drink the same beer.
"Well, I try to drink the same beer – Bud Light – but that’s about it. You never know. I don’t want to chance luck and switch up brands, so I’m staying loyal to Bud Light."

So to reward Battier for his loyalty, Anheuser-Busch, the company which owns Bud Light had 18 pallets totaling 1100 cases of beer delivered to his house.
It's must be great to be a pro-athlete earning $3.135 million this season and then getting free beer on top of that.
