Any Monday morning after a big WWE show, you can generally be assured your twitter timeline will be full with angry wrestling fans. This morning, that outrage stems from another WWE decision to end its main event of a big show in under a minute in order to portray the dominance of the returning Goldberg, not to mention to protect the 50 year old from looking his age by having an actual match.
In the last "Pay-Per-View" show before Wrestlemania, the WWE went ahead to the most predictable of plans, putting the title on Goldberg, ahead of his already announced main event match with Brock Lesnar. The outrage of fans stems from taking the title off workhorse champion and indie favourite Kevin Owens, who's been champion since August, especially in such a dominant way.
You can watch the entire 21 seconds below.
Goldberg V Kevin Owens Full Match:
The set up involved WWE Trope No.1 - the bad guy's enemy/former friend (Chris Jericho) comes out right before the match starts causing the overwhelming "disctraction" which led to 50 year old Goldberg getting his two moves in and calling it a night.
He now moves to a Wrestlemania rematch with Brock Lesnar, someone he beat in an equally ridiculous amount of time at November's Survivor Series.
Needless to say, WWE twitter fans weren't happy.
This #WWEFastlane was just as bad as the others. Goldberg = UNDESERVING CHAMPION! Ruining Kevin Owens with that disgraceful ending! #WWESins

WWE can fuck off making Owens drop the title to Goldberg. What a joke.
