If you would like to know what the actors who played each character on FNL think their fictional self has been up to, then check out what happened when that exact question was posed to them at the 10 year reunion from last year.
But this here is about the actors themselves.
Since the show went off the air in 2011 we have seen FNL stars appear in some of the biggest TV shows and films around, so we decided to have a look at what the main characters are up to now, and what they've done since they left Dillon, Texas with their eyes clear and their hearts full.
Coach Eric Taylor
Kyle Chandler may be the person you needed least reminding about, as after his fantastic performances as Coach Taylor in FNL, he went on to star in some of Hollywood's biggest blockbuster films like 'Argo', 'Zero Dark Thirty', and 'The Wolf Of Wall Street' alongside Leo.
But he doesn't just do movies, Chandler is also now playing a leading role in popular TV series 'Bloodline', which is what he's doing today, so well done to him.
Tim Riggins
The year after Friday Night Lights ended, Kitsch played the leading role in Disney's box-office flop 'John Carter', and also appeared alongside Rihanna on her acting debut in Battleship, which was terrible.
Good roles soon found their way to Riggins as he again played the lead in Savages, and impressed alongside Mark Wahlberg in Lone Survivor, before landing a recurring role in 'True Detective' last year.
He is currently filming for an upcoming film titled 'The Death and Life of John F. Donovan' which also features Natalie Portman.
Jason Street
All-American hero Jason Street, or Scott Porter as he likes to go by in real life, recently made our Superbowl 50 experience better by posting this picture with a very familiar face that he met there:

After leaving the show in 2010, Porter jumped right back into the TV scene playing the role of George Tucker on 'Hart of Dixie' until last year, and he's also voiced a tonne of video game characters, as he lists gaming as one of his passions over on his twitter account.
Matt Saracen
The quintessential boy-next-door, Matty Saracen, or Zach Gilford to use his actual name stayed in TV acting with roles in 'Off The Map' and 'The Mob Doctor' while also dabbling in a number of low-profile movies before popping up in 'The Family' which has recently proven popular over in the US.
Tami Taylor
Mrs. Taylor jumped off the Friday Night Lights train and hopped aboard another TV series that became extremely popular, although not with the demographic of his site we would imagine.
'Nashville' features Connie Britton playing a country/western star that can't take a younger singer stealing her shadow, and it's a big deal apparently, so fair play to her.
She has also appeared in 'American Horror Story' which again has done very well so she's got a good eye for TV.
Julie Taylor
After FNL finished in 2011, Julie (Aimee Teegarden) hopped straight into 'Scream 4' which came out later in the year, before a series of appearances in movies and TV-movies.
She is involved in three movies that are coming out in 2016, the most promising of which appears to be 'A Change Of Heart' with James Belushi.
Landry Clarke
You should know full well what Jesse Plemons has been up to (aside from hanging with Street at the Superbowl that is) because he was damn impressive in Breaking Bad, playing the role of Todd, who we still haven't forgiven for that thing he did out in the desert by the railway tracks..
The rest of his resumé is also quite impressive, as Landry has been seen in Black Mass (the Whitey Bulger story) and the TV series of Fargo.
Rock on, Landry.
Brian 'Smash' Williams
The Smash left our screens earlier than the rest of this list after his character went on to college, and despite an appearance on NCIS in the interim, it wasn't until 2012 that Gaius Charles secured a recurring role on Grey's Anatomy where he worked until 2014.
Since then he was involved in 'The Stanford Prison Experiment' last year and most recently voiced Luke Fox in the animated 'Batman: Bad Blood'.
Lyla Garrity
Everyone's favourite bible-bashing cheerleader Lyla Garrity also left the show earlier than most, and appeared in the cult classic '(500) Days Of Summer' in the year she left.
Since then, recurring appearances on 'Parenthood', 'Charlie's Angels', and 'Almost Human' are the highlights, with a role in the piss-poor Adam Sandler rom-com 'Just Go With It' probably being the low-light for Minka Kelly.
Tyra Collette
Sadly she's not romantically involved with Jesse Plemons (that we know of), but Adrianne Palicki has done quite well for herself since she played Tyra on FNL.
'G.I. Joe: Retaliation', 'Red Dawn', and the extremely cool 'John Wick' stand out as the highlights, as well as some success on TV in the likes of 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D'.
There you have it, the Friday Night Lights cast in 2016. Now we'll wait and see if anything comes from the reunion that is planned for this year.
