NFL.com reports that former NFL quarterback JaMarcus Russell is preparing himself for a comeback, even though he weighs a stunning 308 pounds (that's 22 stone to me and you)! Sure the political correct term might be 'overweight' but if you're a professional athlete and 22 stone, you should get used to the fat comments.

Russell is deemed by many to be the biggest bust ever in the NFL. A college standout for LSU, he was drafted first overall by the Oakland Raiders in the 2007 NFL Draft. After a dispute, he eventually signed a 6 year contract worth a guaranteed $31.5 million. Within 3 years he was gone from the league with his unique combination of poor fitness and awful decision making effectively ruining the prospects of the Oakland Raiders for many years. He was arrested in 2010 for possesing codeine syrip without a prescription.

Now while the thought of a 22 stone quarterback with a drugs problem in the NFL is funny enough, its the fact that the story was presented by sponsor KFC on the NFL site that made balls.ie smile most.

Hey KFC people, we're open to sponsorship too.
