It was one of the most anticipated Royal Rumble matches in years, with oodles of big names like the Undertaker, Brock Lesnar and Goldberg billed to take part but the same old problem reared its ugly head at the end of last night's Rumble, as Roman Reigns entered no.30 and shit on everything.
Reigns already is hated by a lot of older fans and for many, his entrance seemed to ruin what had been a fairly enjoyable night up until then.
With a huge amount of particpants already announced, there didn't seem much room for any surprise entrants but when the no.30 slot was left open, with Brock, Taker and Goldberg already in the ring, the rumours of a Finn Balor return or even an appearance from the likes of Samoa Joe seemed as if they were about to materialise but no ... It was Roman.
No Samoa Joe.
No Finn Balor
No Kurt Angle
Another Lesnar squash.
Reigns eliminates Undertaker.

Can't get over how disappointing the end to that Rumble was. Why have Roman as 30. Never seen an arena die so fast in my life #RoyalRumble

Reigns would go on to eliminate Undertaker, seemingly setting up a Mania match between the pair, while Randy Orton ended up winning the Rumble. Which is grand I suppose. In the same way watching a Fast and Furious film for two hours is grand.
The Rumble had started off really strong but towards the end it seemed to really lose all momentum. Even though many looked forward to Undertaker and Goldberg being in the match, in truth they looked every year their age when in the ring, with the rest of the field lying motionless for far too long in the ring to enable the pair and Lesnar have their big spots. Speaking of which, people weren't happy with Goldberg squashing Lesnar either.
Brock Lesnar waited 71 days just to get speared & knocked out in 10 seconds by Goldberg again 😂 #RoyalRumble

But lookit, I suppose you'll never please everyone. Special mention should go to Chris Jericho, who was bloody great and should have won, and also to John Cena and AJ Styles for putting on the match of the year in their WWE Championship clash, beforehand.
