It was all going swimmingly. For one Atlanta Hawks fan during his team's game with the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night, the groundwork was laid perfectly. At least, that's what he thought.
The 'Kiss Cam' is a fun and light-hearted diversion that has been devised by US sports franchises to amuse spectators during breaks while they're waiting for the match to re-commence. It's a fairly simple process. A couple appears on the big screen, they see themselves, do the thing, and everyone moves on.
This time, though, things went a bit further as a fan decided to seize his moment in the spotlight to propose to his partner. Surely it was coordinated that the cam would fall on him - it seems like a bit of a coincidence otherwise. Either way, what was going so gloriously swimmingly turned into a bit of a nightmare with one over-enthusiastic eejit ruining everything for the couple.
