One of the great stalwart occasions in American football is coming to Ireland in 2020 for the Aer Lingus College Football Classic. Notre Dame and Navy have played each other annually since 1927 and their game is seen as a sacred tradition for both schools and for American football fans everywhere.
Before their 2020 meeting in the Aviva Stadium though, they will lock it up one more time this weekend in the famous home of Notre Dame - South Bend, Indiana.
To mark the occasion, ESPN, who will also be broadcasting their flagship College GameDay live from Dublin before next year's game, will be doing a live link on to Dublin on the show this Saturday as part of their buildup to the game. GameDay is the premier American football buildup show in the States and regularly broadcasts to over two million people.
Dublin's Woolshed on Parnell Street will be hosting the live link and College Football Ireland want Irish football fans to be part of the occasion and build the atmosphere.
Show your colours, bring your signs, and get rowdy for the live link to over two million people. The first 100 people to arrive will get a free pint of Guinness while the fan with the most "College GameDay-worthy" sign will win a pair of tickets to next year massive game, long before they go on sale.
Show your team colours to 2 million people when @ESPNCFB has a live cut to Dublin this Saturday! Join us at 3.30pm in the @woolshedbaa. Plus create your best “College GameDay-worthy” sign for the chance to win a pair of tickets to the 2020 @NDFootball v @NavyFB game in Dublin. pic.twitter.com/DLGVFpjcVz
