The Baltimore Ravens played 19 games to win the Super Bowl this season. Players put their bodies on the line for their team every week since early September. So you'd think that once they had the trophy in their hands they'd never let it go. That wasn't the case though as Ravens heads coach John Harbaugh admitted yesterday.
From NFL.com:
Ravens coach John Harbaugh revealed during Monday's news conference that the Lombardi Trophy was misplaced in the craziness of the postgame celebration.
"We hadn't seen this (trophy) since last night," Harbaugh said. "We thought we lost it."
Harbaugh went on to thank whoever returned the Super Bowl XLVII showpiece.
It's not quite as bad as Sergio Ramos dropping the Copa Del Rey under the wheels of a bus but it's up there.
