Green Bay Packers quarterback and reigning NFL MVP, Aaron Rodgers, was talking to Sky Sports about his upcoming International Series NFL game in London at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Games have been played in London since 2007, with Rodgers' Packers facing off against the New York Giants this Sunday.
However, in his interview he may have ruffled a few Irish feathers by saying that he was looking to 'experience' some 'culture', before stating that he wants to 'have a Guinness or whatever the local brew is.'
We're all excited. I think the reason I said I wanted to go over early was just to experience a little bit of that culture, to be able to get out and see some sights and interact with fans and... shoot, go to a pub and have a Guinness or whatever the local brew is.
"For us, it's a dream. I've been talking about doing this for years, since they started this - I couldn't wait to get over there. But nobody wants to give up a Green Bay home game. So it's exciting to finally get a chance to go over."

It's not totally clear that Rodgers was referring to Guinness as a local London brew, but he should perhaps be more careful in future when discussing such matters, given the outrage any such mistake causes amongst the Irish.
Although, given the popularity of the Shite London Guinness social pages, bad pints of Guinness are arguably part of the culture in England's capital city.
