Quade Cooper agreed a deal to play with Toulon back in April, but the Aussie out-half has since made a u-turn on his decision and instead intends to sign a four-year contract to remain in Australia.

Cooper's reneging on the deal has enraged Toulon owner Mourad Boudjelal. So much so that he has vowed to sue Cooper if he does not make good on the April agreement.

Boudjelal told Midi Olympique that he will make the 27-year-old as 'indebted as Greece'.

It could make him alone the second most indebted State after Greece (laughs)!

There was speculation in Australia that Cooper could get out of the deal by paying a $228,000 get-out clause but Boudjelal has refuted this.

The moron of the Australian federation who does not know his file needs to know that the promise of employment is no longer the question.

€150 000 ($A228,000) was to pay for the release of promise of contract, but Cooper has signed his contract, I can produce it if necessary, and received it the League. The contract promise is now obsolete. At the present time, if Cooper withdraws, it will have to pay the amount of the contract!

If Cooper ends up having to pay the full amount of the contract, it could total $2 million.
