As Munster jet off to France to take on their uber wealthy Toulon opponents, their CEO Garret Fitzgerald has admitted that they are looking for a deal that would see Thomond Park renamed.

“The commercial board are constantly looking at options and the naming rights to Thomond Park is one of them. “But the package has to be right . . . The right partner has to be found.' he told the Irish Times

So there's the question, who or what is the right partner, Toyota and Bank of Ireland have had strong relationships with the province over the years, and then there's the price which had reportedly dropped from 750k per annum to just 350k in 2012.

Lastly, there is the little issue of the public reaction to having the hallowed Limerick turf rebranded for cash money.
