In a potentially controversial move, this idea has been scrapped and the Pro 12 goes to the more conventional route of nominating a final location much like the Champions League, the Super Bowl and the Champions Cup.

News Letter Sport revealed this morning that the new Kingspan Ravenhill Stadium will be the Pro 12 final venue. The new Ravenhill stadium was fully opened last May after redevelopment works saw the capacity increased to over 18,000 from 12,000. It is believed that Ravenhill pipped the other contender, Glasgow's Scotstoun.
