After Connacht were dumped out of European competition by Gloucester on Friday night, images of former All Black Mils Muliaina being lead to a police car were shown on Sky Sports, and it later emerged that the Connacht full-back had been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault.

The alleged incident was said to have taken place in Cardiff in March, and South Wales police are continuing their investigation, but Connacht Rugby have today released an official statement, in which they explain that Muliaina denies any wrong doing.
