SWEET CHIN MUSINGS: WWE Night of Champions in Tweets

Every WWE pay-per view can’t be great. And, in what has been a particular strong run of marquee WWE events, Night of Champions turned out to be somewhat of a letdown. Even Daniel Bryan’s momentous WWE Championship win over Randy Orton felt anti-climactic after a quick count from referee Scott Armstrong left WWE fans waiting for some hijinks to prevail. Ryback revealed himself to be Paul Heyman’s new ‘guy’, interfering to halt CM Punk’s beating of his former mentor and cost Punk the handicap match. Alberto Del Rio retained his World Championship by getting himself disqualified against RVD. In fact, aside from Bryan’s win, all of the title holders retained, leading to much disdain from the WWE audience as the PPV’s Night of Champions tag proved to be more ironic than anything else.

Still, bad pay-per views generally make for good tweets. And here’s the pick of the bunch.

It’s a tough job, but somebody has to do it. I ran the Breaking Bad spoilers gauntlet for you guys last night…
