The Rock has gone into hype overdrive for his new film Hercules and we can promise you there will be more posts about him today than the amount of prayers at mass.

First up, we have USA Today presenter Bryan Alexander attempting to eat his way through The Rock's meal plan while shooting the film. I suppose attempting to get through it all in one sitting wasn't the wisest idea but it's just a prop really for the interview with the former WWE champion and it lets us visualise how insane his six month diet for the film actually was.

In Alexander's article he discusses how not just the food but also The Rock's tales of having a triple hernia operation due to delaying surgery on reattaching the tendons to his pelvis nearly caused the reporter to get sick. Despite that he ably battled through:

Despite it all, I held down two steaks, one halibut, some chicken, oatmeal and some hefty portions of the vegetable sides from each plate. We slowed to a near stop when it was clear my frail ego would keep me eating to self-destruction.

The whole lot could do with some sauce.
