In arguably the biggest sports media story in Ireland since 2011, it was confirmed today that Off The Ball will be presented tonight without Ken Early, Eoin McDevitt, rugby fanboy Simon Hick, Ciaran 'Murph' Murphy and producer Mark Horgan.

A source at Newstalk confirmed that the programme will still be called Off The Ball.
“Newstalk would like to thank Eoin, Simon, Ken, Ciaran and Mark for their contributions to the station and wish them luck in their future endeavours,” the station said.
One can only presume the drudgery of working 7-10pm for more than 10 years while producing the best radio show in the country took its toll. Newstalk's weekend sports team will step into the breach.
