The UFC is looking to come back to Dublin in 2015. While the plans to host an event in Croke Park didn't materialise, they are reportedly planning to hold an event in the 3Arena later this year.

Speaking to the42.ie's Paul Dollery, the UFC's Senior Vice President and General Manager in Europe, Dave Allen (a Dubliner) said 'I’ll make a promise to you that we will be back in Dublin at some stage this year'. He did insert the proviso that there were contractual issues to be gotten through, but once a date is established, it will 'be all systems go.'

The Convention Centre is currently the scene of a press conference promoting the Aldo-McGregor fight of July 11. It is considered unlikely that McGregor will feature in any putative UFC event in Dublin, but it is envisaged that many of the younger Irish UFC contenders will appear.
